Brighton Sausage Co began in 2006.
Started in 2006 by friends and colleagues Paul Gilks & David Barr at 28a Gloucester Road in the heart of Brighton's North Laine, with the intention to offer quality food produce at an affordable price, all provided with a dollop of old fashioned personal service. Nearly 20 years later, we are still there and still true to these original founding principles.
In the early years our sausages were produced on site at the shop in Brighton, we have since added a bespoke production unit down the coast in Lancing, from where we manufacture a range of our own products including Sausages (of course!), Bacon, Burgers, Sausage Rolls, Vegan Sausages & Burgers. We are proud to have supplied these products for the last 19 years to many of Brighton's best hospitality venues and eateries.
Our products have won many awards over the years including our Cumberland Sausage reaching the national Champion of Champions Final.
The shop in Brighton is open 7 days a week, serving the local Brighton public and the many visitors that make the North Laine such a wonderful, vibrant area. Alongside our own Sausages, Bacon and famous Sausage rolls the shop is stocked with tasty produce from amazing local and international food suppliers. We are probably equally well known for being a cheese shop too! With over 30 years of experience selling cheese and a range of over 70 local and european cheeses, not to mention salamis, saucisons, bread, biltong, olives, pickles and sauces, we are more than just a sausage shop!
A proper food shop, we love to eat good food, sell good food and talk about good food. Come see us for a taste and a chat and of course....a sausage or two.
